While installing a new garage door opener for a friend, I noticed a broken spring. I was able to mount the opener but couldn't complete the installation because of the "frozen door." Your technicians installed a new spring and then were kind enough to program the up/down limits and install the outside (wireless) control, since I couldn't be there. Very kind, professional service.

My overall experience was very good. I filled out a form on the website and was contacted quickly. John the technician showed up on time and did a good job with the repairs. My only concern has to do with the pricing. I thought it was high for the scope of work and, in particular, I did not like that the warranty cost was bundled in the overall price. I would have turned down the warranty and saved some money if that was an option but it was not. I would also like to see the labor cost broken out from the parts. So, in conclusion good service and quality of work but not enough transparency on the pricing.

Things went smoothly from my first contact with the office, and to the person who worked with me to get an appointment that fit my complicated schedule. The night prior I received a phone call from my tech John R. to let me know that I would be his first appointment and to expect him between 8-8:30. He apologized for calling so late - it wasn't even 8:00 pm. The next morning, he called to tell me what time he would arrive, and even asked if I needed anything from the deli. Talk about exceptional customer service! When John arrived, he was polite and courteous. He went to the garage door, ran some diagnostics on it and explained the problems to me. He worked up an estimate and I approved the work. John went to work and was professional and neat, cleaning up after himself. Garage door is now working perfectly and should I have any additional problems, or if any friends need assistance, I will highly recommend Precision to them.

PDS chosen based on previous contact. Problem this time was one opener was not functioning; however, when PDS tech arrived, the door opener worked. Based on the tech's assessment that our current openers were near the end of their expected lifespan (16-17 years), I opted to replace both openers. While the work was completed in a thorough manner, the technician (John) seemed uncertain of all aspects of installing the units selected--requiring numerous blu-tooth consults before discovering that one opener was wired incorrectly. Time of job (approx 6 hours) was at least 50 per cent over original estimate. He also neglected to provide me with a receipt, causing me to call in to the Scranton office to get one via email.
